Howard "Jr" Moore

Howard "Jr" Moore, 82, of Mt. Sterling, died Sunday evening, August 5, 2012, at the Saint Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling. He was born January 1, 1930 in Hamlin, West Virginia to the late Hallie and Dollie Moore.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Jackie Smiley Moore; one son, Randy Moore (Trudi) of Mt. Sterling; four daughters, Brenda Jackson (Lonnie) of Lake City, Florida, Barbara Burden (Edwin), Carolyn Evans (Reid), and Debbie Goodpaster (David) all of Mt. Sterling; ten grandchildren, Mike Jackson of Florida, Mark Jackson (Jenny) of Louisville, Megan McCormick (Michael) of Lexington, Shelly Sanders of Owingsville, Jeremy Moore (Michelle)of Farmers, Vance Evans (Christie) of Lexington, Scott Moore, Christina Donathan,Melanie Mann, and Josh Burden all of Mt. Sterling; eighteen great grandchildren, Hayley Sanders, Wyatt Sanders, Lindsey Sanders, Olivia Sanders, Noah McCormick, Alley Evans, Case Evans, Bryce Moore, Mallory Moore, Kelcie Donathan, Kaylee Donathan, Hunter Reed, Seth Jones, Shay Jones, Ashley Hall,Hobie Hall, Nate Burden, and Carter Burden; two brothers, Jack Moore (Sandy) of Mt. Sterling, Charles Moore (Jean) of Shepherdsville; one sister, Jerri Amburgey (J.B.) of Jeffersonville; a special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Homer Nickels of Mt. Sterling; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, T.J. Moore and a grandson-in-law, Mark Sanders.

Memorial service will be Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 1:00PM at Camargo Church of God. Rev. Mark Jackson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Hope Hill Childrens Home, 700 Hope Hill Rd., Means, KY 40346 or charity of choice.
