Jackie Edward Shepher

Jackie Edward Shepherd, Sr., 64, of Owingsville, died Monday, January 19, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital in Lexington. He was born June 4, 1950 to the late Jack and Delphia Shepherd.

Jackie was a Montgomery County native and a farmer. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and farming. He had an outgoing personality and had a passion for scraping and going to flea markets.

Survivors include; one son, Jackie Shepherd, Jr. (Ann) of Fort Knox; four brothers, Herald Covey (Margaret) of Jeffersonville, Patrick Shepherd of Owingsville, William Shepherd of Indiana, and Robert Lee Covey (Sharon) of Virginia; four sisters, Carrie Cantrell (Charlie) and Barbara Dennis (James) both of Jeffersonville; Marilyn Alber of Indiana, and Tammy Barger (Scott) of Owingsville; four grandchildren, Kala Shepherd, Kaytlin Shepherd and Kristen Shepherd all of Louisville, and Elsie Shepherd of Brandenburg; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Eric Shepherd; brother, Ricky Shepherd; two sisters, Carolyn Albert and Rose Dennis.
