James David Bryant, 38, of Mt. Sterling, died Thursday, February 27, 2014, at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born August 16, 1975 in Rochester, New York to Kenneth Bryant and Hazel Anna Brown Bryant.
James moved to Montgomery County at a very young age. He attended Montgomery County High School and Abundant Life Gospel Church. He was a hard working, dedicated employee of KDMK until his illness would no longer allow him to work. He was an avid Buffalo Bills and Atlanta Braves fan; he loved all sports, playing baseball in high school, as well as basketball and football leisurely. He enjoyed watching movies and was a huge movie collector. James never met a stranger; he was well liked by everyone and always had a smile. His contagious smile and positive attitude even during his illness was an inspiration to all. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
James is survived by his wife Jennifer Bryant; his parents, Hazel Bryant of Mt. Sterling and Kenneth and Cheryl Bryant of Rochester, New York; two brothers, Kenneth Ray Bryant (Kimberly Shaeffer) and Michael Bryant both of Mt. Sterling; nephew and niece, Jerryn Bryant and Adyson Bryant both of Mt. Sterling; two stepchildren, Matthew Price and Kiley Price both of Paris; uncles, Clester Brown (Joyce), Jennings Ray Bryant, Anthony Harold Bryant (Star), and Delmas Bryant (Phyllis); aunts, Joanne Current, Rose McIntosh, Millie Compton, and Dawn Rowe; and James' angels, Kimbelry Jent and Lisa Smith.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ruby and Denzil Brown; paternal grandparents, Allen and Polly Bryant; two uncles, Boyd Brown and Grover Bryant; an aunt, Patty Brandenburg.
