James Michael "Mike" McPhearson

James Michael "Mike" McPhearson, 43, of Mt. Sterling died Saturday morning, May 24, 2014, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. He was born February 16, 1971 in Winchester to June and Marjorie Faye Davis McPhearson.

Mike had been a resident of Montgomery County for the past seven years. He was a graduate of George Rogers Clark High School, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Gateway Christian Church. He was currently employed by Lexington Metal Systems in Mt. Sterling and a previous employee of several dealerships in Lexington where he worked as a car salesman and mechanic. He had a passion for cars with his favorite being a 1965 Buick Skylark. Mike will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Mike is survived by his wife, Teal Nanette McPhearson of Mt. Sterling; one son, Joshua Michael McPhearson of Mt. Sterling; two step daughters, Jodi Keeney and Nicole Keeney both of Mt. Sterling; his parents, June and Marjorie Faye McPhearson of Mt. Sterling; brother, John Woodford McPhearson (Lisa) of Lexington; sister, Sheri Frances McPhearson Cummings (Alex) of Winchester; grandfather, John Henry Davis of Winchester; nephew, Alexander Henry Cummings of Winchester; two nieces, Jamie McPhearson Taylor (Nolan) of Mt. Sterling and Jalie McPhearson Halcomb (Mike) of Nicholasville.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, June Woodford and Rachael Marie McPhearson; maternal grandmother, Margaret Jordan Davis; a special niece, Heather Nicole Cummings.

Pallbearers: Alex Cummings, Alex H. Cummings, Nolan Taylor, Mike Halcomb, Lee Cundiff and James Tomes.
