James “Babo” Morgan Long, Jr., 61, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky passed away peacefully, Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington. He was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on May 29, 1962, to the late James Morgan, Sr. and Linda Lloyd Long.
Babo was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, an agricultural farmer and avid Harley Davidson rider. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends. He was known as the big teddy bear who was the life of the party. He was an extremely loyal friend and family member who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Babo is survived by his brother Charles McCullough of Iowa; sister, Karen Long of Mt. Sterling; nephew, Jacob Mays of Mt. Sterling; niece Rylee McCullough of Iowa.
In addition to his parents, Babo was preceded in death by sister; Jan McCullough; nephew Justin Chambers.
