James "Jim" William Weldo

James "Jim" William Weldon, Jr. of Mt. Sterling died Friday morning, April 19, 2013 at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late James William and Elizabeth Appleman Weldon.

Jim was a Montgomery County resident having moved from Georgetown, Ohio in 1974. He was a United States Air Force Veteran, serving in Vietnam. He received his Bachelors and Masters from Morehead State University. He was previously employed at A.O. Smith and later at Lexel Imaging Systems where he was the Plant Manager Manufacturing Engineer before his retirement.

Jim was an active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, a member of Kiwanis, American Legion, and Knights of Columbus in Winchester. He held a Black Belt in Karate, was a wood craftsman, enjoyed modern electronic technology, and Cincinnati Reds Baseball.

Survivors include; his wife of 45 years, Marianne Waterfield Weldon of Mt. Sterling; one daughter, Amanda Weldon Frey, son-in-law, Aaron Frey and granddaughter, Elizabeth Weldon Frey of Charleston, South Carolina; two brothers, Nick Weldon (Charlotte) of Hamilton, Ohio and Isaac Weldon of Alexandria, Kentucky.

Kiwanis Club Members will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
