Janet Faye (Norris) Shrout

Janet Faye Norris Shrout, 74, of Mt. Sterling, died Saturday morning, August 26, 2017 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center.  She was born March 15, 1943 in Owingsville to the late Howard and Mary Vanlandingham Norris.

Janet moved to Montgomery County in 1969 from Oklahoma and was a member of the Church of the Ascension.  Janet dedicated her life to the health care profession as Registered Nurse, retiring from St. Claire Regional Medical Center where she was the Director of Home Health.  She enjoyed traveling, reading and was an Amateur Radio Operator. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include; her beloved husband of 59 years, Deford Shrout of Mt. Sterling; two sons, Sam Shrout (Della) of Lexington and Julian Shrout (Tammi) of Mt. Sterling;  four grandchildren, Gloria Donithan (Ricky), Emily Shrout and Haley Shrout all of Mt. Sterling and Max Shrout of Lexington;  two great grandchildren, Lexie Donithan and Caroline Donithan both of Mt. Sterling.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Jana Shrout Goodpaster; one brother, Donald Norris; one sister, Geraldine York.

Funeral will be Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 10:00AM. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Living Water Church.  Pastor Grant Cannoy will be officiating.
