Jess T. Myers, Sr., 87, of Jeffersonville, died Monday, December 2, 2013 at St. Joseph East in Lexington. He was born November 7, 1926 in Bath County to the late John and Mary Cornwell Myers.
Jess, a Bath County native, moved to Montgomery County in the late 1940's. He was a retired employee of Larry Keith Builders, a farmer, a former employee of A.O. Smith and Camargo Tractor Supply where he worked as a mechanic. Jess enjoyed working, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren whom he dearly loved.
Survivors include; his wife of 63 years, Mayme Thompson Myers of Jeffersonville; two sons, Jess Myers, Jr. (Betty) of Bath County and James Myers (Anita) of Jeffersonville; two daughters, Linda Myers Ginter of Mt. Sterling, and Patricia Myers Tackitt (Dale) of Frenchburg; twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dolly Leach; and a son-in-law, Ronald Ginter.
Pallbearers: Adam Myers, Joseph Myers, Lucas Myers, Matthew Myers, Kevin Fouch, Anthony Spencer, Gary Jones, and Bruce Whitt.
Honorary Pallbearers: Sandy Jones, Christy Collier, Jessica Fouch, Aleesa Kimbrell, and Casey Myers.
