Jimmie "Jim" Russell Hardin

Jimmie "Jim" Russell Hardin, 76, of Salt Lick died Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Windsor Care Nursing home in Mt. Sterling.  Jim was born on August 22, 1943 to the late Laura Pergram Hardin.

Jim was a Salt Lick native, worked in construction and on his farm.  He enjoyed his work especially on his farm where he raised cattle, hogs and his watermelons that he sold and traded with others. Jim was an honest man and would tell someone what was on his mind.  His friends and family will miss his sense of humor and his famous watermelons.

He is survived by one daughter, Tricia Stapleton (Sam) of Salt Lick; one son, Jason Hardin (Beth) of Winchester; two brothers Tucker Hardin (Della) of Salt Lick and Doug Hardin of Owingsville; three sisters Pat Skaggs (Herb) of Salt Lick, Rosemary Mann of Lexington and Nancy Omohundro (Rick) of Salt Lick; two grandchildren, Tanner Swartz of Mt. Sterling and Hayden Swartz of Salt Lick and one great grandchild, Jolie Swartz of Salt Lick.
