Joan Roberts Newton, 76, of Choctaw, Oklahoma, died Wednesday evening, March 6, 2013 at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling. She was born on May 25, 1936 in Omaha, Nebraska to the late Marion and Esther Roberts.
Joan had previously lived in Winchester where she worked in the cafeteria as a cook at Conkright Junior High School.
Survivors include; four daughters, Lynn Ann Jackman of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Kar-Leen Gleffe of Mt. Sterling, Arlinda Gleffe and Dawn Richardson (Shane) both of Choctaw, Oklahoma; two brothers Keith Roberts (Linda) and Jack Roberts (Jackie) both of Omaha, Nebraska; one sister, Kay Demars of Iowa; six grandchildren, Pipper Jackman, Brett Roberts, Dustin Bishop, Ashley Gleffe, Michael Jackman, and Kay-Leigh Gleffe; one great grandchild, Kaidyn Bishop; several uncles, aunts, nephews, and nieces.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Dean .
Memorial Service will be Saturday, March 9 , 2013 at 2:00PM at Grace Bible Church, 117 North Main St., Winchester, KY 40391.
