JoAnn Tipton Issac, 79, of Mt. Sterling, died Monday, December 28, 2020 at Baptist Health, Lexington. She was born in Montgomery County on September 3, 1941 to the late Troy Francis and Bessie Jane Amburgey Tipton.
JoAnn was a native of Montgomery County and a member of Rolling Hills Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Mt. Sterling High School, Class of 1959. She retired as a realtor with Caswell Prewitt Realty. JoAnn was a hospital volunteer, a hobby florist and a dedicated wife, mother and Granny Jo. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
JoAnn is survived by two sons; Jim Sons (Maggie) of Georgetown and Mike Issac (Sally) of Lexington; one daughter; Kim Jones (Tim) of Stuart, Florida; six grandchildren; Laura Issac Norton (Alex) of Vero Beach, Florida, Hollye Issac of Lexington, Meg Murray of Stuart, Florida, Brant Murray of Stuart, Florida, Cory Jones of Port St. Lucie, Florida and Tiffany Cheli of Georgia; one brother; Bobby Tipton (Judy) of Mt. Sterling; one sister; Lou Blevins of Mt. Sterling; one sister-in-law; Gayle Tipton of Mt. Sterling.
In addition to her parents, JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Cordell Issac; one daughter; Lisa Sons; two brothers; Raymond Tipton and Tom Tipton; one sister; Frances Estes; two brother-in-laws; Junior Estes and Buck Blevins; one sister-in-law; Sylvia Tipton
Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 2:00PM. Visitation will be prior from 12:00PM - 2:00PM, both will be at Rolling Hills Church of Christ. Committal will follow the funeral at Machpelah Cemetery, weather permitting. Brother Dan Murphy and Brother Jerry Carmichael will be officiating.
In-lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Rolling Hills Youth Camp, 125 Rolling Hills Drive, Mt. Sterling, KY.
