Jo Ann (Lyman) Lawson

Jo Ann Lyman Lawson, 67, of Mt. Sterling, died Sunday, June 28, 2020 at her residence.  She was born in Mt. Sterling on January 14, 1953 to the late Lee Lyman and Edith Fultz Cornwell.

Jo Ann was a lifelong resident of Mt. Sterling and attended Queen Street Christian Fellowship.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing, camping and going to yard sales.  Jo Ann loved meeting people and always went out of her way to help others.  She will be dearly missed by her friends and family.

She is survived by two sons, Charles Wilson (Vanessa Barbee) and Brian Wilson (Lisa Mae) both of Mt. Sterling; one daughter, Anna Wilson of Nicholas County; six grandchildren; two brothers, Michael Lyman (Maria) of Mt. Sterling and Roger Lyman (Jana) of Bath County; two sisters, Betty Manley (Dan) of Mt. Sterling and Judy Little (Bobby Haddix) of Beattyville and her good friends Denzel and Sharon Boyd of Harrison County.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, Barry "Bear" Lawson and two brothers, Jerry Lyman and Jackie Lyman.
