John Wayne Garrett

John Wayne Garrett, Sr., 63, of Owingsville, died Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at his residence. He was born November 17, 1952 in Montgomery County to the late Scott and Sarah Davis Garrett.
John was a life-long resident of Bath County and he worked thirty years at Leggett-Platt in Winchester as a truck driver. He enjoyed his 79' Jeep Wrangler, riding motorcycles with the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, boating and camping. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include; his beloved wife of thirty-three years, Sue Garrett of Owingsville; two sons, John Garrett, Jr. (Lindsey) of Killeen, Texas and Stacy Donathan (Lisa) of Owingsville; one daughter, Jennifer Donathan of Owingsville; three grandchildren, Christopher Garrett of Killeen, Texas, Samantha Garrett of Georgia and Mari-Lynn Donathan of Owingsville; two brothers, Gilbert Garrett (Shirley) of Mt. Sterling and Scott Garrett, Jr. (Linda) of Owingsville; one sister, Karen Garrett of Mt. Sterling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Jim Garrett.
