Johnny "Butch" Ray Stone, 77, of Mt. Sterling passed away on Friday morning, March 11, 2022, at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling. He was born in San Diego, California on January 7, 1945 to the late Jackson "Jack" Charles and Gladys Lucreita Wade Stone.
Butch moved to Montgomery County in 2005 from Knoxville, Tennessee, he was of the Christian faith and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed; collecting cars and antiques, traveling within states and researching his family ancestory. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Butch is survived by his daughter; Jeannine Achter (Ed) of Reno Nevada; two grandchildren; Stacy Jackson (Randy) of Colfax, California and Robert Achter (Rebecca) of Auburn, California; five great grandchildren; Cameron Jackson, Rachel Jackson, Madison Achter, Lexi Achter and Colt Achter; one sister; Carol Abbot of Citrus Heights, California.
In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by five brothers; Ronnie Stone, Chuck Stone, Bud Stone, Kenny Stone and Robert Stone; one sister; Judy Locke.
