Joshua Dee Jones, Jr.

Joshua Dee Jones, Jr., 67, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Saturday August 27, 2022 at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born November 17, 1954 in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Joshua Dee, Sr. and Sarah Ellen Shanks Jones.

Joshua moved from Sanford, Florida to Mt. Sterling in 2003.  He had a passion for vehicles and motorcycles and was a member of the Jokers Motorcycle Club in Mt. Sterling.  Joshua retired from the golf maintenance industry as a groundskeeper and continued being handy around the house and enjoyed traveling.  Along with his jokester personality, he was a family man and his pride and joy was his grandchildren.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Joshua is survived by one daughter, Ava Johnson (Charles) of Mt. Sterling; two sons, Jesse Jones (Meredith) of Winchester and James Jones of Clay City; twelve grandchildren; one sister, Debbie Henderson of Texas; three brothers, Fred Jones (Jan) of Oregon, Joe Jones and Robbie Jones, both of Indiana; his girlfriend, Kim Gibson of Mt. Sterling.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one grandchild, Jayla Jones; two brothers, James Jones and Jeff Jones.

Visitation Gathering will be Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at Queen Street Christian Church.  Immediately after the gathering, a final ride procession to the crematory will be escorted by the Joker Motorcycle Club and family.

Pallbearers:Charles Johnson,  Jesse Jones, Brayden Johnson, Robbie Jones, Logan Johnson and William Ritchie.
