Joy Inman Hunter Brooks, 77, of Mt. Sterling, died Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Windsor Care Center. She was born in Santa Barbara, California on December 18, 1941 to the late Frank Sr. and Deloris Inman Hunter.
Joy moved to Montgomery County twenty-two years ago from Lexington and was a member of the New Hope Fellowship in Stanton, Kentucky. She enjoyed nursing, helping others and most of all, spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by three sons, Warren Powell (Amber), Mike Powell (Kimberly), both of Lusedale, Mississippi and Jack Powell (Mary) of Mt. Sterling; fifteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one sister, Sharon Robinson of Phoenix, Arizona.
In addition to her parents, Joy was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Hunter, Jr.
Memorial service will be at the New Hope Fellowship in Stanton, Kentucky on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 3:00PM.
