It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joyce E. Miller, 80, of Mt. Sterling, she was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 20, 1943, to the late Wilbur (Bill) E. Latimer and Christine Katherine Wright Latimer. Joyce embraced life with grace and kindness. On August 23, 2024, she departed this world in peaceful repose at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jeff Miller and her fur baby, Molly.
Joyce was a dedicated office manager in education, known for her meticulous work ethic and unwavering commitment to her profession. She enjoyed reading, counted cross-stitch, and decorating her home with a creative touch. Joyce was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, cherishing her heritage and the traditions of her country.
Church and faith were important parts of her life. Joyce was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lexington and participated in the worship services at the True Life Community Church of the Nazarene since moving to Mt. Sterling.
She is survived by her loving sons, Rev. R. Scott Miller (Alicia) and Dr. Christopher T Miller (Laura); grandchildren, Brooke McCabe (Matt), Sarah Miller and Keegan Miller; and great granddaughter, Aubrey McCabe.
Joyce's Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, August 31 at 11:00 am. A time of Gathering will begin at 10:00 am at True Life Community Church of the Nazarene located at 119 Winn Street Mt. Sterling, KY. Officiating will be her son, Rev. Scott Miller, her nephew Rev. Tommy Bowling and Rev. Paula Smith.
Family and friends are invited to join in remembrance as we pay tribute to a remarkable woman who touched the lives of all who knew her. Joyce E. Miller will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her unwavering spirit and enduring love. May she rest in peace.
