Karen Jo (Wright) Pendleton

Karen Jo Wright Pendleton, 66, of Mt. Sterling, died Monday, February 12, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family.  She was born March 15, 1951 in Lexington to the late Wheeler and Retta Stephens Wright.

Karen was a long time resident of Mt. Sterling, and she moved there upon her marriage forty-six years ago.  She was a homemaker and the BEST mother/grandmother ever.  She was a lover of the Lord and a member of Rolling Hills Church of Christ.  Karen loved her community and embraced those she came into contact with as her family and close friends.  She loved to cook and serve others.  Her joy in life was to see the joy in others.  Karen enjoyed passing out "Happy Day" gifts daily.  She was a lover of nature and "Enjoyed the Beauty of Each Day!!!"

Survivors include; her beloved husband, Sidney Pendleton, Jr. of Mt. Sterling; one daughter, Cicely Amburgey (Rob) of Mt. Sterling; one son, James Benton Pendleton (Lauren) of Salt Lick; three grandchildren, Rhett Amburgey, SidneyShea Amburgey and Oaklee Amburgey, all of Mt. Sterling; one sister, Vicki Amburgey (Mike); several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Send a Child to Camp, Rolling Hills Christian Bible Camp, 125 Rolling Hills Drive, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky 40353.

Funeral service will be held Friday, February 16, 2018 at 10:00AM.  Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00PM to 8:00PM, both services at the Rolling Hills Church of Christ.  Burial will follow at the Jones Cemetery in Salt Lick, Kentucky.  Officiating will be Danny Murphy and Jerry Carmichael.

Pallbearers: Stevie Stamper, Nacy Stone, Preston Hardee, Justin Highley, Josh Fawns, Joe Donaldson, Corey Frye and Brant Thompson.
