Lamar Hayden, 55, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, July 25, 2021 in Owingsville, Kentucky. He was born in Mount Sterling on September 9, 1965 to Robert Hayden and Robin Mynhier.
Lamar was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County and a member of Evergreen Baptist Church. He loved music and was a D.J. He also enjoyed; cooking and yard work and was a University of Kentucky fan. He will be dearly missed by his many family and friends.
Lamar is survived by his mother; Robin Mynhier (Donnie) of Mt. Sterling; father; Robert Hayden (Carolyn) of Flemingsburg; three daughters; Lanea Hayden of Lexington, Dyonne Hayden of Owingsville and Meghan Karrick (Nelson) of Mt. Sterling; one son; Johnathan Davis of Lexington; two brothers; William Mynhier of Mt. Sterling and Rodney Mynhier of Lexington; one sister; Dyonne Lucas (Oliver) of Winchester; special friends; Lawrence Hines, Jerry Jones, Jr., Tyrone Ragan and William Henry Reed, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lamar was preceded in death by his brother; Lance Hayden.
Graveside service for Lamar Hayden will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 30, 2021, at Olive Hill Cemetery. Pastor Arthur Douthitt will be officiating. The family has requested that everyone attending the service, please wear a mask.
Pallbearers: Jerry Jones, Tyrone Ragan, Tyrell Hayden, Troy Darnell, James Taul and Domonique Hayden.
Honorary Pallbearers: Jerry Stevens, Michael Stevens, Quinn Stevens, Lawrence Hines, Dave Taul and Lee Clemons.
