Larry Conway Craig, 75, of Mt. Sterling died on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Bourbon County on October 19, 1943 to late Jess and Alletta Welch Craig.
Larry was a Christian and a lifelong resident of Mt. Sterling. He retired from Consolidated Freight, was a volunteer firefighter for Montgomery County Fire Department and loved farming. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a son, brother, father, grandfather, husband and friend to many. He spent his life providing for his family and they along with his friends will miss him dearly.
He is survived by loving wife of 46 years, Patricia Ann Gambrel Craig of Mt. Sterling; one son Byron Craig (Betsy) of Mt. Sterling; one granddaughter, MacKenzie Wyatt of Mt. Sterling; one brother, Jess Craig (Clara) of Lexington; one sister Brenda Vance (Denny) of TN; sister-in-law Phyllis Tabor Craig of Mt. Sterling and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
In addition to his parents Larry was preceded in death by his beloved son Larry Tyler Craig; one brother, Lonnie Craig and one sister Sue Craig Murphy.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 23, 2019 at 2:00PM. Visitation will be from 12:00PM-2:00PM. Both will be held at Queen Street Christian Fellowship with Hoss Prater officiating. Committal to follow funeral at Crown Hill Cemetery in Sharpsburg.
Pallbearers: Richey Craig, Keith Craig, Gregory Craig, Randy Craig, Jimmy Vice and Allie Webb.
Honorary Pallbearers: Roger Wilson, Leroy Louderback, Reid Evans, John Arnold, Hank Hatfield, Bobby Rogers, Steve Howell and Larry Arrasmith.
