Larry Wayne Thompson, 79, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling. He was born in Mt. Sterling on April 14, 1942 and was the son of the late Clifton and Elizabeth Stull Thompson.
Larry was a Montgomery County Native and a member of Heritage Christian Church. He was a retired inspector with the State of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Larry loved his church, his children, his grandchildren, and Priscilla, but most of all he loved his horses, his German Shepherds and spending time with his family. He enjoyed going to the Owingsville Horse Show every year and to the Tennessee Walking Horse Celebration. Sterling; two great grandchildren; Brayden Wells of Mt. Sterling and Avery Wells of Mt. Sterling; two brothers; Gary Thompson (Susan) of Mt. Sterling and Joe Thompson (Dawn) of Mt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son; Robert Thompson; one sister; Barbara Thompson.
