Leevoy Haney, 71, of Mt. Sterling, died Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the Hospice Care Center of St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington . He was born January 27, 1945 to the late Florence Neff and Floyd Haney.
Leevoy moved to Montgomery County sixteen years ago from Sharpsburg, he's of the Pentecostal faith and before retiring, he was a coalminer and farmer. Leevoy had a jokester personality, he enjoyed sightseeing, fishing, working hard and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren and family. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include; his beloved wife of fourteen years, Rosie Peyton Haney of Mt. Sterling; one son, Jamey Haney of Frankfort; two daughters, Lisa Haney and Della Preston (Wade), both of Frankfort; one brother, Jim Haney (Fannie) of Frankfort; two sisters, Fronie Taulbee and Evelyn Craig (Doug) of Frankfort; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; thirteen step-children and numerous step-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell Haney and H.C. Haney.
