Leonard "Pete" Sorrell
April 22, 1928 — January 24, 2016
Leonard "Pete" Sorrell, 87, of Stanton, died, Sunday, January 24, 2016, at the Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born April 22, 1928 in Bath County, to the late Emmitt and Nona Thompson Sorrell.
Nine years ago, Leonard moved from Mt. Sterling to Stanton. Leonard had a jokester personality and he loved to tell stories. He enjoyed fishing, whittling and if he liked you, he gave you a nick name. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include; one daughter, Barbara England of Indiana; one sister, Mary Johnson of Mt. Sterling; two grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; numerous nieces and one nephew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters; Louise Fortune and Christine Updike.
