Linda Faye Moore Goodpaster, 72, of Mt. Sterling, died Saturday morning, February 18, 2017 at her residence. She was born January 31, 1945 in Montgomery county to the late Solomon Moore and Hazel Trent Moore Tipton.
Linda was a Montgomery County native, a member of the Reid Village Baptist Church and a 1964 graduate of Camargo High School. She enjoyed farming with her husband, vegetable gardening and canning, cooking, attending church and most of all, spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by her family, church family and friends.
Survivors include; her beloved husband, Allie Goodpaster of Mt. Sterling; two daughters, Pam Smallwood (Eddie Rice) of Camargo and Vonda Harmon (Danny) of Sharpsburg; one sister, Sue King (Equillis) of Jeffersonville; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Fern Moore, Maxine Moore and Louise Moore.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Reid Village Baptist Church.
Funeral will be Monday, February 20, 2017 at 12:00PM. Visitation will be prior from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at the Reid Village Baptist Church. Committal will follow at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Sharpsburg. Pastor Todd Wiley will be officiating.
