Linda Joyce Mullins Grooms, 69, of Mt. Sterling, died Friday morning, March 4, 2016, at the St. Joseph Mt. Sterling. She was born July 20, 1946, in Montgomery County to the late Clarence and Ollie Hart Mullins.
Linda was a Montgomery County native, she was a 1964 graduate of Camargo High School and retired from Bell South and Nestle. She enjoyed, watching the Bold and the Beautiful, Price Is Right and WLJC, cooking, spending time with her family, reading and UK basketball. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of forty-one years, Cecil Grooms of Mt. Sterling; two sons, Brad Smith and Jerry Smith, both of Mt. Sterling; four daughters, Lisa Smith Kendrick (Ricky) of Jeffersonville, Angie Grooms Cole, Charlotte Mobley (Kenny) and Sherry Risner (Gary), all of Mt. Sterling; one sister, Gladys Mullins Pierce of Mt. Sterling; seven grandchildren, Amber Henderson (Mike) of Jeffersonville, LaShanna Snowden (Allen) of Clay City, Carla Moore of Mt. Sterling, Chris Kendrick (Sydney Smith) of Mt. Sterling, Logan Kendrick (Jessamyn Rogers) of Jeffersonville, Josh Mobley and Selina Lyman, both of Mt. Sterling; six great grandchildren, Austin Henderson, Kaitlyn Henderson, Chris Moore, Jacob Johnson, all of Jeffersonville, Braxton Snowden and Jaiden Snowden, both of Clay City..
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Mullins; her grandson, Anthony Lyman and her great granddaughter, Micah Johnson.
Pastor William "Hoss" Prater and Pastor Robbie Conn will be officiating.
