Linda Gay (Fritz) Stilz

December 31, 1945 — August 30, 2022

With great sorrow we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  Linda Gay Fritz Stilz, 76, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, transitioned to her eternal home on Tuesday morning, August 30, 2022,  surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Lexington, Kentucky on December 31, 1945 to the late William and Geraldine Spears Fritz.

Linda was a resident of Montgomery County since 1977, was a very active member and deacon of First Christian Church, Mt. Sterling, and cherished the opportunity to participate in her prayer group. She also had a keen business sense and was manager of Boonesboro Water District and co-owner of The Dressing Room, a women's boutique in Mt. Sterling.  She enjoyed; tennis, snow skiing, shopping with her friends and sharing her wonderful recipes.  Linda took joy in her household, and raising her two sons. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her immense class in both her presentation and demeanour.   Linda was a kind and gentle soul, it was a privilege and a blessing to know and love Linda and to have Linda love you.

Linda  is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of fifty-six years; Jacob Clifton "Cliff" Stilz, III of Mt. Sterling; cherished son; Spears Clifton Stilz (Dee Dee) of Mt. Sterling; three grandchildren; Jacob Ford Stilz, Hagan Elizabeth Stilz and Casey Greene; sister-in law; Mary Alice Ravencraft (David) and their family.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her beloved son; Jeffrey Jacob Stilz and her brother; Ronald Fritz.

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00PM on Friday, September 2, 2022.  Visitation will be prior from 10:00AM - 12:00PM.  Both will be held at First Christian Church 222 W. Main St. Mt. Sterling, KY.  Interment will follow at Lexington Cemetery 833 W. Main St. Lexington, KY.  Pastor Scott Holley will be officiating.

Pallbearers: Linda's Prayer Group will be represented by their sons; Connie McCormick (Jason McCormick), Marsha Walker (Art Walker III and Bryce Walker), Rita Beckham (Kyle Beckham), Barrett Fuller (Richard Fuller), Sandy Lansdale (Norman Lansdale), Betty Von Ledford (Mark Ledford) and the late Pam Ishmael (Dave Ishmael)

Honorary Pallbearers: Nelda Codell, Mary Lou Yeary, Pat Peck, Diane Amburgey, Barret Smith and Lynn Romano.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Linda's memory to First Christian Church 222 West Main Street Mt. Sterling, Kentucky 40353 or the Sanders - Brown Center P.O. Box 34184 Lexington, KY 40588
