Margaret Karen Dehart, 71, a beloved member of the Mt. Sterling community, passed away on October 17, 2024, at UK Medical Center in Lexington. She was born on February 9, 1953, in Mt. Sterling, to the late Herb Little and Alma Lawson Wilson, and spent her life embracing all the joys and challenges that came her way. 

Margaret will be fondly remembered for her infectious laughter, her love for spending time with friends at the local Mexican restaurant, and her passion for shopping. She was known as a fantastic cook and as having great pride in taking care of her home. She approached life with a positive outlook and a warm heart. She was selfless and a compassionate listener blessed with the gift of empathy whom family and friends would often turn to for support. Margaret had strong faith in God which she used to guide her through both joyous and difficult moments. 

She is survived by her devoted husband, Eddie Dehart, who shared many cherished memories and experiences with her throughout their 44 years together. She is also survived by her pride and joy son, Chris Jones; sisters, Diane Amburgey (Jim), and Judy Chappel (Bill); nieces, Melissa Czarpata, Stephanie Faulkner (Dr. Chad), Kelley Adams (Brian), and Kim Jones; as well as an aunt Phyllis Collins (Buddy). 

“Aunt Maggie” was adored by her grand-nieces and grand nephews: Alex Czarpata, Graham and Lauren Faulkner, Paige Lambert, and Matt Adams. 

In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her siblings, Janet Jones, Don Little, and Walter Litttle; and nephew Randy Little. 

Margaret's Memorial Service will be a private family service held next week. 

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Margaret’s memory be made to the Sarah E. Winn House, 106 Winn Street, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky 40353. 

In her passing, Margaret leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her family and friends, as they reflect on the treasured moments shared with a remarkable woman who truly lived life to the fullest.
