Marilyn Spencer Faulkner, 93, of Mt. Sterling, passed away on Thursday morning, September 30, 2021 at U.K. Medical Center. She was born in Sturgis, Michigan on January 9, 1928 to the late Earl and Cleda Cobb Spencer.
Marilyn grew up in Menifee County and was a resident of Montgomery County since 1959. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Levee Homemakers and various quilting clubs. She was a wonderful homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother, she enjoyed; cake decorating, flower and vegetable gardening, canning, sewing and making clothes. She was an avid reader. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Marilyn is survived by two daughters; Susan Webb (Jim) of Mt. Sterling and Diana Hart (Jim) of Kernersville, North Carolina; three grandchildren; Lauren Green (Frank) of Southlake, Texas, Jim Paul Webb of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Stephen McBride of Kernersville, North Carolina; two great grandchildren; Emery Green and Collin Green both of Southlake, Texas; sister-in-law; Catherine Spencer of Titusville, Florida.
In addition to her parents Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband; Paul Faulkner; one daughter; Sheila Faulkner; one brother; Earl Spencer, Jr.; two sisters; Carolyn Montgomery and Willa Frances Spencer.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Machpelah Cemetery. Reverend Jack Robinson will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 550, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky 40353.
