Mark Francis Verhage, 56, of Frenchburg, died Saturday afternoon, July 11, 2015, at his residence. He was born December 3, 1958 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin to "Hap" Clarence and Mary Ann Verhage.
Mark moved to Frenchburg seven years ago from Wisconsin. He was of the catholic faith and employed at Summit Polymers as a forklift operator. Mark loved life; always had a positive attitude, never spoke a negative word, loved to smile and laugh and lived life to its fullest. He also loved his three horses, six dogs and Green Bay Packers. Mark will be dearly missed by his family, friends and pets. Mark was diagnosed with lung cancer in April of this year and requested to spend his final days at home by his family, friends and pets. Thanks to his loving friends Doug and Cherie Dawson, Brittney Dawson and Frank Hayes who stayed with him and his wife day and night as caregivers his final wishes were made possible. The family sends these wonderful people all their love and thankfulness for a kindness that can never be repaid.
Survivors include; his wife of six years, Lori Prue Verhage of Frenchburg; three sons, Brian Franzen of Crivitz, Wisconsin, Chance Caylor and Jake Caylor (Amber) both of Coleman, Wisconsin; three daughters, Trista Stroessner and Nikki Corrigan (Adam) both of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin and Ashley Brown (Travis) of Sheboygan, Wisconsin; his mother, Mary Ann Block Verhage of Sheboygan, Wisconsin; five brothers, Gary Verhage (Caroline), John Verhage (Judy), Paul Verhage (Jane), Jimmy Verhage (Julie) all of Sheboygan, Wisconsin and Scott Verhage (Bev) of Random Lake, Wisconsin; one sister, Bonnie Brown of Plymouth, Wisconsin; ten grandchildren and one very special friend, Doug Dawson of Stanton, Kentucky.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, "Hap" Clarence Verhage and his sister, Jean Borgenhagen.
