Mary Elizabeth Stiddom Jones, 75, of Morehead, passed away Monday morning, August 2, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Salt Lick, Kentucky on October 31, 1945 to the late Russell and Ruth Stiddom.
Mary has been a lifelong resident of Rowan County, was a member of House of Prayer in Morehead, and was a retired unit secretary at St. Claire Regional Medical Center. She enjoyed; quilting, teaching Sunday school, family get togethers and her grandchildren, many children called her "Mamaw" as well. She was a wonderful and dedicated mother and wife that loved to spoil her husband and children. She truly cared deeply for everyone. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Mary is survived by her son; Tim Jones (Tammy) of Morehead; her daughter; Melissa Jones (Shannon) of Perryville; two grandchildren; Matt Jones (Megan) of Morehead and Maggie Fleming (Nick) of West Liberty; one great granddaughter; McKenzie Roberts; two brothers; Denzil Stiddom (Faye) of Peasticks and Stanley Stiddom (Carolyn) of Peasticks; three sisters; Wanda Snyder of Cincinnati, Ohio, Eldene Barton (Arnold) of Cincinnati, Ohio and Debbie Everman (Terry) of Owingsville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years; Teddy Jones; her infant son; Duane Edwin Jones; two brothers; Leniel Stiddom and Albert Stiddom.
Funeral service for Mary Jones will be held at 7:00PM on Friday, August 6, 2021. Visitation will be held prior from 5:00PM - 7:00PM, both will be held at Queen Street Christian Fellowship, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Pastor Joe Cline will be officiating.
Pallbearers: Tim Jones, Matt Jones, Jeff Jones, James Stiddom, Josh Thomas, Jake Thomas.
