Mary Margaret (Williams) Taul

Mary Margaret Williams Taul, 81, of Mt. Sterling, died Sunday, January 6, 2019 at St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling.  She was born July 21, 1937 to the late James Lee Williams and Malinda America Stevens Lisle.

Mary was a Mt. Sterling native, active member of the Keas Tabernacle C.M.E. and a past president of the Louisville, Lexington District Missionary Society.  She was a dedicated servant having spent fifty-three years cooking breakfast for Sunday School at Ascension Episcopal Church where recently the kitchen was named in her honor.  Mary liked to shop however her passions revolved around her family and church family.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include; five sons, Ronald Taul, Ralph Taul, David Taul (Yvonne), John Taul and James D. Taul (Virginia) all of Mt. Sterling; one daughter, Barbara Gatewood (Earl) of Mt. Sterling; three brothers Augustus "Gus" Williams of Dayton, OH, Jerry Stevens and Michael Stevens (Iva) of Mt. Sterling; one sister Robin Mynhier (Donnie) of Mt. Sterling; fourteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; special aunt Oudia Walker of Mt. Sterling; special cousin Joanna Harrison of Cincinnati, OH; sister in-law Audrey Tademy (Dudley) of Great Falls, VA, special friend Elise Boyd (James) of Lexington and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband Henry Chester Taul; brother James Lee Williams; sister Wanda Stevens Clemons and great grandchild Damani Reed.

Funeral will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 1:00PM.  Visitation will be prior from 11:00AM-1:00PM.  Both will be at the Keas Tabernacle C.M.E. Church in Mt. Sterling. Committal will follow funeral service at Olive Hill Cemetery Mt. Sterling.  Reverend Gregory Bonner and Reverend Robert Wilson will be the officiates.

Pallbearers: Troy Darnell, Derek Taul, Bill Williams, Terry Taul, Lee Clemons, Christian Thompson and George Gatewood.

Honorary Pallbearers: Orville Davis, George Garrett, Albert Clemons and Norman Cunningham.
