Mary Lillian Cain Taylor, 90, of Owingsville, died Monday evening, December 11, 2017, at UK Medical Center. She was born March 19, 1927 in Bath County to the late Luther Sr. and Mary Carter Cain.
Mary was a Bath County native, a member of the Owingsville United Methodist Church and a retired educator from both, Montgomery and Bath County districts. She enjoyed; attending and teaching Sunday school at church, playing cards, crossword puzzles, sewing, flower gardening and most of all, doing for others. She'll be dearly missed by her family, church family and friends.
Survivors include; three sons, Keith Taylor of Owingsville, Steve Taylor of Indianapolis and Brent Taylor (Delana) of Atlanta; one daughter, Penny Taylor Williams of Queens, New York; two brothers, Luther Cain, Jr. (Jean) of Versailles and Ben Crain (Mary Jo) of Flemingsburg; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Taylor; one son, Bruce Taylor; two sisters, Ida Hill Thompson and Christine Corbin.
Memorial service will be Monday, December 18, 2017 at 1:00PM, Visitation will be prior from 11:00Am to 1:00PM at the Owingsville United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 12:30PM at the Owingsville Cemetery. Rev. Bob Ray and Pastor James Labain will be officiating.
