Mary Louise (Hamm) Welch Duff

October 19, 1929 — December 25, 2017

Mary Louise Hamm Welch Duff, 88, of Mt. Sterling, died Monday, December 25, 2017 at the Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington.  She was born October 19, 1929 in Bath County to the late Jessie and Samantha Hunt Hamm.

Mary has resided in Montgomery County since 1991, was a member of the Bethesda Church, she was a homemaker and owner of numerous enterprises.  She enjoyed; bingo, going to the casinos, making candles, avid reader, traveling, listening to George Strait.  She'll be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include; one daughter, Janice Riddle (James); four grandchildren, Cathy Spencer (Daniel) of Mt. Sterling, Teresa Barnett (Savoy) of Owingsville, Casey Puckett (Bryan) of Jeffersonville and Chris Welch of Florida; seven great grandchildren Joey Spencer (Ashley), Josh Spencer (LaShannon), Chase Spencer (Sydney), all of Mt. Sterling, Austin Barnett (Shanae) of Hindman, Lane Barnett of Owingsville, Alex Puckett of Jeffersonville and Bailey Welch of Florida; five great-great grandchildren Brendon Holder, Cali Spencer, Ellie Spencer, Owen Spencer and Jake Spencer all of Mt. Sterling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husbands , Charles Welch  and Houston Duff, two sons, Chuck Welch and Danny Welch, one daughter, Penny Welch, one brother, Worthie Hamm, two sisters, Marie Stoker and Virginia Denton.

Memorial service will be Sunday, December 31, 2017 at the Bethesda Church, 3339 Winchester Road, at 1:00PM, followed by a meal at the Odd Fellows Lodge in Mt. Sterling.
