Mary "Sue" Stockdale

Mary "Sue" Stockdale, 87, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Monday evening, April 17, 2023 at Windsor Care Center.  She was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on July 14, 1935 to the late Lane and Mary Lee Leggett Stockdale.

Sue was a Montgomery County native, of the Christian faith and a graduate of Camargo High School.  She enjoyed crafts and was a hairdresser in Montgomery County for fifty years.  She will be dearly missed by her friends and family.

Sue is survived by her sister, Mae Staton of Mt. Sterling; nephews, Stanley Stockdale, Jr. (Tammy) of Mt. Sterling, Ronnie Stockdale (Penny) of Midland and Tony Stockdale of Mt. Sterling; nieces, Betty Staton of Mt. Sterling, Cathy Calvert (Bill) of Mt. Sterling, Wilma Jean Howard of Mt. Sterling, Carolyn Raney (Richard) of Mt. Sterling and Mary Frances Griffen of Mt. Sterling.

In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her brother, Stanley Stockdale, Sr.; sisters, Hazel Larison, Ruby Trimble and Alene Griffen; nephews, Charles Larison and Roy Clay Larison.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00PM on Thursday, April 20, 2023.  Visitation will be prior from 11:00AM - 12:00PM.  Both will be held at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 315 South Queen Street Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.  Pastor David Dooley will be officiating.
