Mattie Lee Walker

Mattie Lee Walker, 93, of Mt. Sterling, died Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Mt. Sterling St. Joseph Hospital after a long illness.  She was born in Mt. Sterling on April 4, 1927 to the late Pete and Gwendolin Gist Walker

Mattie was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church and a retired housekeeper.  She enjoyed farming, taking care of flowers & plants and she was a huge UK Basketball fan.  Mattie will be dearly missed by her family, church family and friends.

She is survived by eight children; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; four sisters; one brother; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mattie was preceded in death by her two brothers; two sisters and one grandson.
