Maye Cecil (Stanley) Henry

Maye Cecil Stanley Henry, 89, of Mt. Sterling died Thursday, January 10, 2019 peacefully surrounded by her family at her residence.  She was born in Ezel on January 15, 1929 to the late William H. and Elizabeth Wright Stanley.

Maye has resided in Mt. Sterling for the previous seventy-three years where she was a member of First Christian Church.  She enjoyed music, traveling, flower gardening, golf and playing Bridge with friends.  Maye was passionate about her family and helping others which included volunteer work with Mary Chiles Hospital and the American Cancer Society.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include; her husband of sixty-eight years Eddie Henry of Mt. Sterling; two daughters Marilyn Clay Williams (Charlie), and Karen Cecil Sparks (Andy) both of Mt. Sterling; sister Evalena Fitzpatrick of Richmond; two grandchildren Will Clark (Susan) of Mt. Sterling and Edward Clark (Dennis) of Lexington and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Maye was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
