Michelle Willoughby Gay

Michelle Willoughby Gay, 49, of Mt. Sterling, died Saturday morning, July 21, 2012, at her residence. She was born August 12, 1962 in Mt. Sterling to Jim Hamm and the late Virginia Benson.

Michelle was a Montgomery County native, a cosmetologist of twenty-six years and owner/operator of Michelle's Hair Hut. Michelle was known for her kind, larger than life personality and being very independent. She loved the outdoors, horses and most of all her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include; one son, Matthew Willoughby (Stephanie Middleton) of Mt. Sterling; two daughters, Amber Reeves of Lexington and Cierra Cain (Jesse) of Mt. Sterling; four grandchildren, Alysa and Ayson Schooler of Lexington and Kegan and Dylan Willoughby of Mt. Sterling; her boyfriend, Ron Shrout of Winchester; her father, Jim Hamm (Brenda) of Stapleton, Georgia; four brothers, James Hamm Jr. (Jeanette) of Mt. Sterling, Ricky Hamm (Debbie Conley) of Mt. Sterling, Greg Hamm (Shawn) of Ashland and George Benson of Mt. Sterling; seven sisters, Rhonda Tout (Gary), Jennifer Wilson (Randy), Crystal Dunn (Rusty) all of Mt. Sterling, Shawn Dayoc (Ty) of Louisville, Jessica Jenkins (Randy), Sarah Norton (Michael) and Elizabeth VanTassell (Wesley) all of Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to the Michelle Willoughby Gay Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1334, Mt. Sterling, KY 40353.

Memorial service will be Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 11:00AM at Jeffersonville Assembly of God. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 24, 2012 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Jeffersonville Assembly of God. Inurnment will follow in Lovely-Amburgey Cemetery. Rev. Jennifer Wilson will be officiating.
