Mike Rose

Mike Rose, 60, of Owingsville, died Thursday morning at the St. Joseph-Mt. Sterling Hospital. He was born April 7, 1952 in Mt. Sterling to the late Everett Rose and Virginia Rabby.

Mike was a Montgomery County native and he graduated from Montgomery County High School. Mike was a licensed self employed plumber, he really enjoyed farming, machinery, car shows and having a good time.

Survivors include; his wife of twelve years, Kathy Rose of Owingsville; two sons, Michael Goodpaster of Harrisburg, Virginia and Morgan Goodpaster (Brandi) of Sharpsburg; one granddaughter, Addisyn Goodpaster of Sharpsburg; his step-father, Hank Rabby of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; two special nieces, Christy Brewer of Mt. Sterling and Lisa Fruth of Mt. Sterling and his dog, Gunner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tony Rose and his sister Patsye Jackson.

Funeral is Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 6:00 PM. Visitation is Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Services will be at Jeffersonville Assembly of God. Committal Service will be Monday, April 23, 2012 at Machpelah Cemetery. Pastor Robbie Conn will be officiating.
