Mildred Spencer Colliver, 88, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky passed away peacefully, Tuesday morning, December 5, 2023, at University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was born in Frenchburg, Kentucky on May 7, 1935, to the late Leonard and Nancy Back Spencer.
Mildred was a lifelong resident of Kentucky, a former Belk employee and a wonderful homemaker for her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Mildred is survived by her son, Greg Colliver (Lorna) of Mt. Sterling; daughter, Vicki Rice (Dr. Charles Rice) of Mt. Sterling; five grandchildren, Rebecca Lawless (Luke) of Campbellsville, Jonathan Colliver (Shana) of Mt. Sterling, Clinton Colliver (Ashley) of Lexington, Austin Colliver (Mercedes) of Louisville and Todd Wright of Buford, Georgia; five great grandchildren, Mallory Grace, Calvin, Kylee, Zeke and Lucy; brother, Glenn Spencer (Bonnie) of Preston sisters; Anna Mae Hall (Forrest) of Mt. Sterling and Lucy Clayton Wilson (Jay) of Sharpsburg.
In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Calvin Colliver; son Calvin Colliver II; great granddaughter Beverly Ray Colliver; four brothers, Raymond Spencer, Arnold Spencer, Joe Spencer, and Emery Spencer; three sisters, Alma Spencer Staton, Emma Spencer Hall and Barbara Spencer Rudd.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, December 8, 2023. Visitation will be held prior from 10:00AM – 11:00AM. Both will be held at First Church of God 1051 Camargo Road Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. Committal will follow the service at Machpelah Cemetery. Pastors David Dooley, Bill Kilgore and Seth Lawson will be officiating.
Pallbearers: Jonathan Colliver, Clinton Colliver, Austin Colliver, Luke Lawless, Todd Wright, Wayne Spencer, and Dwayne Hall.
