Monique (Georges) DeHart

Monique Georges DeHart, 89, of Mt. Sterling, died Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling. She was born April 22, 1928 in Amiens, France to the late Joseph and Geneve Georges.
Monique moved to Montgomery County in 1950 from Rowan County, member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and a retired tax consultant with HR Block. She enjoyed; sewing, knitting, crocheting, yard work, flower & vegetable gardening, most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. She'll be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include; one son, Eddie DeHart (Margaret) of Mt. Sterling; one daughter, Brenda Rowland (Robert) of Raleigh, N.C.; four grandchildren, Rob Rowland, Jr. of Charlotte, N.C., Suzanne Bestafka (Richard) of Wake Forest, N.C., Brady Rowland (Maire Andre) of Southern Pines, N.C. and Chris Jones (Jennifer) of Louisville; three great grandchildren, Ally Bestafka, Carter Bestafka and Madison Rowland.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Midford DeHart; one son, Danny DeHart; two grandchildren, Scotty DeHart and Sonya DeHart.
