Odis Edward Chandler
February 22, 1942 — June 8, 2017
Odis Edward Chandler, 75, of Mt. Sterling, died Thursday morning, June 8, 2017 at his residence. He was born February 22, 1942 in Johnson County to the late Fonnie and Sarah Grim Chandler.
Odis moved to Montgomery County forty-five years ago from Lexington, retired from Nestle and was a United States Army veteran. He enjoyed playing golf, all sports and spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include; his beloved wife, Trisha Hickey Chandler of Mt. Sterling; three sons, Anthony Chandler (Kristen) of Mt. Sterling, Greg Chandler (Vicky) of Jeffersonville and Kevin Chandler (Melissa) of Georgetown; one brother, John Chandler (Phyllis) of Wurtland, Kentucky; one sister, Rushia Reffitt (Glen) of Oregon, Ohio; six grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Don Chandler and Bruce Chandler; four sisters, Ruth Land, Louella Blair, Billie Sexton and Judy Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to: The Odis Chandler Memorial Fund, Town Square Bank, P.O. Box 1325, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, 40353. Donations will be distributed between; St. Claire Hospice, American Cancer Society and Parks & Recreation-construction of a Foot Golf Course at Easy Walker Park.
Funeral will be Monday, June 12, 2017 at 7:00PM. Visitation will be prior from 5:00PM to 7:00PM, both services at Queen Street Christian Fellowship. Clergy Michael Anderson will be officiating.
