Ora Lee Colliver, 79, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Edgewood Estates in Frenchburg. She was born July 2, 1934, in Omar, West Virginia to the late Eugene "Red Bird" and Mamie Lowe McGlothin.
Ora was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, attended church at Christian Assembly of God and a devoted member of the Rebekah Lodge of Mt. Sterling. She was a beautician and a business owner of Oak Hill Beauty Shop. Ora was the true meaning of a caretaker; she was always taking care of others before herself. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include; one son, Chris Colliver (Laura) of Mt. Sterling; one daughter, Sue Colliver Esteppe of Jeffersonville; two grandchildren, Scott Tufano of Jeffersonville and Tiffany Colliver of Mt. Sterling; one great grandchild, Kennedy Tufano of Jeffersonville; two nephews, Rick McGlothin of Indiana and Tony McGlothin of Louisville; two nieces, Kay Fredrick of Louisville and Lisa Orme of Mt. Sterling.
In addition to her parents, Ora was preceded in death by her brother, Billy McGlothin and her nephew, Jeff McGlothin.
Pallbearers: Tyson Baxter, Perry Orme, Scott Tufano, Dave Tufano, Danny Spencer and Joey Spencer.
