Pamela "Pam" Sturgill Elkin, 63, of Jeffersonville passed away on March 26, 2019 at her residence. She was born March 28, 1955 to the late Ralph and Janieve Combs Sturgill.
Pam was a native of Montgomery County, worked at Lexmark and Bluegrass Depot in information technology and of the Christian Faith. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, refinishing furniture and working on the farm. Pam loved to spend time with her grandchildren and all of her family. She will be missed.
Surviving are her husband, Shelby Elkin of Jeffersonville; two daughters Chasity Martin and Christy Mingua (John) both of Winchester; one step daughter Cheryl Dyer (Phillip) of Means; eight grandchildren Klarrisa Smiddy, Kassie Hipsher, Jake Hunter, Braxton Oakley, Brantley Oakley, Pamela Nicole Elkin, Allison Clem, Brooklyn Clem; six great grandchildren Austin Shannon, Liam Smiddy, Karsyn Hipsher, Kallie Hipsher, Kimber Hipsher and Elliana Patterson; two sisters Eva Combs and Cathy Williams; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and special friends Phyllis Whipkey and Sandi Prater.
In addition to Pam's parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Renee Gamble and brothers Rex Sturgill and Barry Sturgill.
Funeral will be on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 12:00PM. Visitation will be held prior from 10:00AM - 12:00PM, both will be held at Queen Street Christian Fellowship in Mt. Sterling. Committal Service to follow at Sturgill Family Cemetery in Jeffersonville. Pastor Michael Chism will be officiating.
Pallbearers: Ryan Richardson, Travis Hipsher, Jason Smiddy, John Mingua, Chris McCall, Tim Prater, Brantley Oakley, Nick Patterson and Larry Prater.
