Pansy Hatton, 81, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on July 24, 1943, in Salyersville, Kentucky. Pansy was a beloved wife, mother, a devoted grandmother, and a cherished member of her community.

Pansy lived a rich life filled with love and laughter. Her role as a homemaker was not just a title but a passion that she embraced wholeheartedly. She was a proud member of the Rolling Hills Church of Christ, where her sweet spirit and warm heart touched the lives of many.

Pansy's love for her family shone brightly, especially in the precious moments she spent with her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.

In her leisure time, Pansy found happiness in gardening and nurturing beautiful flowers that reflected her vibrant personality. She enjoyed relaxing evenings watching westerns and game shows alongside her loving husband, Wendell. With her infectious laughter and playful spirit, Pansy was the light of her family, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew her.

Pansy is survived by her devoted loving husband of 62 years, Wendell Hatton; children, Lisa Gross (James Ginter) and Mike Hatton (Jennifer); grandchildren, Bradley Wilson, Brittany Clem (Jacob), Taylor Hatton (Summer) and Elizabeth Hatton; great grandchildren, Jordan, Keegan, Addie, Landon, Kinsleigh, and Raylynn; sister, Veona Layman (Glen); sister-in-law, Edith Back. Pansy is preceded in death by her father, Oscar Back; mother, Myrtle Patrick Scutchfield; siblings, Rayo Back, Richard Back, Ranzel Back, Gathel Miller, Nova Childress, and Noki Freeman; her fur baby, Molly.

Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM at Rolling Hills Church of Christ Camp.

Pansy Hatton's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Pansy Hatton to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
