Patricia Ann "Pat" Becraft

August 11, 1941 — September 25, 2014

Patricia Ann "Pat" Becraft, 73, of Mt. Sterling, died Thursday, September 25, 2014 at her residence. She was born August 11, 1941 in Mt. Sterling to the late Russel and Virgil Moore Updike.

Pat was a Montgomery County native; a seamstress and a member of the Gate City Belles. She enjoyed making crafts, telling stories, going to yard sales, flea markets and auctions. Her greatest passion in life was her family by whom she will be dearly missed.

Survivors include; her husband of 40 years, Shelby Gene Becraft, Sr. of Mt. Sterling; one son, Shelby Gene Becraft, Jr. (Michelle) of Elizabethtown; three daughters, Geneva Nolan (Tommy Anderson) of Mt. Sterling, Phyllis Gilvin-Seale (Jackie L.) of Clay City and Donna Ann Jackson (James Earl) of Glasgow; sixteen grandchildren, Tisha Lynn Arnett, Joshua Cain Gilvin, Shasta Lynn Vice, Jason Edward Shrout, James "Curly" Simpson, Brian Nicholas Shrout, John Simpson, Stevie Jackson, Amber "Doodle" McPhearson, Dallas Ray Anderson, T.J. Hamm, Michayla Becraft, Harley Hamm, Shelby Gene Becraft III, Angelina Becraft, and Aurora "Roro" Becraft; fifteen great grandchildren; nephew, Timothy Wayne Updike; niece, Debra Sue Updike;"adopted" son, David Stockton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Russell Henry Updike.

A celebration of life gathering for her family and friends will be held Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 2:00PM to 6:00PM at Pat's home.
