Paul David Breiner, 75, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021 surrounded by his family at Saint Joseph, Mt. Sterling. He was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on January 24, 1946 to the late Nick and Edna Barnes Breiner.
Paul was a native of Montgomery County, of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. He graduated from Mt. Sterling High School, class of 1964. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy and served two tours in Vietnam. After serving in the Navy, Paul continued his studies at Holy Apostles College and Seminary in Cromwell, Connecticut. In 1985 he purchased Breiner Sales and Service which was established by his father in 1929. Paul had incredible faith, was a wood craftsman and enjoyed bicycling and photography. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
Paul is survived by his loving wife; Mary Manning Breiner; one son; Nicholas Breiner (Sarah Humble) of Lexington; two sisters; Janet Wilson of Lexington and Jane Lester (Phil) of Lexington; several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brother-in-law; Harold Wilson.
Funeral mass for Paul Breiner will take place Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 11:00AM. Visitation will be prior from 9:00AM - 11:00AM, both will take place at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Father Frank Brawner will be officiating. Inurnment to follow at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery with military rites.
In-lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 139 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, KY 40353.
