Perry "Doodle" Wayne Carpenter

Perry "Doodle" Wayne Carpenter, 52, of Lexington, passed away Monday evening, April 19, 2021 at his residence.  He was born in Mt. Sterling on July 21, 1968 to Wayne Carpenter and Peggy Keith Haufler.

Doodle moved to Lexington from Mount Sterling five years ago, was of the Christian faith and a veteran of the United States Army.  He was employed in the construction industry as an electrician.  Doodle enjoyed; hunting, shooting guns, four wheeling, watching movies and the time he spent with his grandchildren.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his father; Wayne Carpenter of Camargo; his mother; Peggy Keith Haufler of Mt. Sterling; one son; Cody Carpenter (Samantha)of Morehead; one daughter; Chelsy Templin (James) of Sandy Hook; five grandchildren; Rena Templin, Landen Templin, Rebel Massey, Elliandra Templin and Riot Massey; one sister; Tonya Luke of Camargo.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother; Bessie "Gingin" Keith.
