Phyllis "Sue" Easterling, 77, of Mt. Sterling, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, September 5, 2021 at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was born in Lee County, Kentucky on October 25, 1943 to the late Lemon and Louise Williams Caldwell.
Sue was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, of the Christian faith and a retired seamstress with Jockey International. She enjoyed; spending time with her family and friends, dancing and having fun, she was the life of the party and a wonderful cook. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Sue is survived by her daughter; Sherry Easterling (Brian Harm) of Nicholasville; one grandson; Jonathan Easterling (Ann) of Georgetown; two great granchildren; Madison Easterling and Keaton Easterling; one brother; Freddy Caldwell (Linda) of Shelbyville; three sisters; Judy Botts of Mt. Sterling, Wanda Caldwell of Mt. Sterling and Janis Cole of Mt. Sterling; special "Nini" to Haley Price; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by three brothers; Willis Caldwell, Lennox Caldwell and Junior Caldwell; three sisters; Peggy Caldwell, Betty Hogan and Dorothy Alsep.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Funeral Service will be at 10:00AM on Friday, September 10, 2021, both will take place at Gateway Christian Church, Mt. Sterling. Committal will follow at Stanton Cemetery, Stanton, Kentucky. Reverend Jerry Jones will be officiating.
Pallbearers: Jon Easterling, Brian Harm, Chris Caldwell, Jeff Hartgrove, Ray Botts, Randy Botts, Michael Cole and Josh Stamper.
