Priscilla "Prissy" Ann (Jones) Nornhold

Priscilla "Prissy" Jones Nornhold, 79, of Mt. Sterling, died Thursday, August 16, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospice surrounded by her family.  She was born March 10, 1939 in Lexington to the late Jesse and Ada Jones.

Priscilla was proud of the 30 years she assisted Dr. Cookie Eastham and the many babies that were born as a result.  She was a native of Mt. Sterling and attended Emanuel Baptist Church.  She loved her family and was known as "nanny" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren alike.  Collecting dolls, fishing and her flowers were constant hobbies in her life.  Priscilla will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She was survived by her sons Elsworth Sayre Sr. (Dee) and Gene Nornhold Jr. (Becky) of Mt. Sterling, daughter Claudetta and adopted daughters Lisa, Rita and Kathy, brother Sidney Jones of Nicholasville, grandchildren Dustin Sayre (Amber) of Mt. Sterling, Ray Sayre Jr. (Amber) of Clearwater, FL, Amanda Nornhold and Robin Nornhold both of Mt. Sterling, great grandchildren Anthony Sayre and Janalynn Sayre of Mt. Sterling and Karmah Sayre of Clearwater, FL, many friends and family and family in Pennsylvania.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Gene Nornhold Sr., son Danny "Red" Sayre, brother William "Bud" Jones and sisters Dorothy Devers and Estill Jones.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, August 25, at 10:00AM. Visitation Friday, August 24, 7:00PM- 9:00PM, both held at Queen Street Christian Fellowship.  Committal to follow Funeral Service at Machpelah Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Tim Roberts, Ronnie Myers, Bobby Hopkins, Tim Brearey, Andy Hampton and Brandon Tackett.
