Ralph Taylor Murphy, 77, of Jeffersonville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday morning, December 22, 2021 at Baptist Health, Lexington. He was born in Montgomery County on October 2, 1944 to the late William H. and Alma Cannon Murphy.
Ralph was a native of Montgomery County, of the Baptist faith and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Montgomery County High School, a veteran of the United States Army and a retired truck driver. He enjoyed wood working and had a big personality, always making others laugh. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife of twenty-eight years; Della Dunn Murphy; two beloved daughters; Taylina D. Lawson (Robbie) of Mt. Sterling and Valerie C. Faw (H.B.) of Sharpsburg; two brothers; Bill Murphy (Shelia) of Mt. Sterling and Tommy Murphy (Brenda) of Mt. Sterling; two sisters; Beverly Craycraft (Jimmy) of Mt. Sterling and Reva Skidmore (Jim) of Mt. Sterling.
In addition to his parents Ralph was preceded in death by his infant daughter; Christina Gayle Murphy.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Machpelah Cemetery with military rites. Pastor Jim Skidmore will be officiating.
Pallbearers: Robbie Lawson, H.B. Faw, Chad Dunn, J.R. Sallee, Ryan McCoy, Noah Sallee and Ryan Sallee.
Honorary Pallbearers: Tommy and Mary Butcher.
